Pre-Drywall Inspection
The Most Important Stage of Your New Home Build
A Pre-Drywall Inspection is conducted after the home is “dried-in”—meaning the framing, roofing, and windows are installed—but before the insulation and drywall are hung. This is the only time you can see what is happening inside your walls.
Why This Inspection Matters
Once the drywall is installed, major construction mistakes become invisible. Identifying these issues early is significantly cheaper and easier than trying to fix them after you have moved in. We ensure your builder is following proper standards before they hide the details behind the finishes.
What We Inspect During the Pre-Drywall Phase
Structure & Framing: We check for framing quality, support beams, damaged or cut structural members, and any modifications to the trusses.
Plumbing Systems: We verify pipe installation and support, check for leaks or damage, and ensure the venting layout is correct.
Electrical Routing: We inspect wiring protection, proper box placement, and routing to address any grounding or safety concerns.
HVAC Installation: We check the duct routing and support, ensuring all connections are sealed and the system layout is efficient.
Windows & Exterior: We verify the flashing and sealing around openings to ensure proper moisture protection and prevent future leaks.
